Meet our team...

 

We believe in the power of gardening to heal, connect and inspire our community.

Our team is dedicated to providing experiences that promote well-being and community engagement.

David Harris, brings over 20 years of experience in the health service sector to Grow Rhondda. As the creator of Grow Rhondda, David has been instrumental in setting up the management committee and recruiting trustees. He chairs meetings with members and the community, leads networking with partner organizations, and is a qualified accredited trainer. David also manages funding applications and meets with funders, ensuring the sustainability and growth of our initiatives.

Janice Potter, has many years of experience in the third sector in an administration role. As the financial lead for Grow Rhondda and Mens Sheds, Janice supports member registrations and manages the community engagement program. She works closely with all community partners and suppliers, ensuring seamless operations and robust community involvement.

Chris Harris, offers face-to-face support to our members, sharing practical skills and supervising community projects like Mens Sheds. He leads on digital inclusion, youth provision, team dynamics, and training/skills assessments. Chris is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where members can thrive.

Their drinks menu includes a classic tea for £1, coffee or hot chocolate for £1.50, and a selection of cakes that are simply irresistible.

 

But the real showstopper? Janice’s homemade cheesecake, a local favourite that regulars can’t stop talking about! Light, creamy, and made with love, it’s the perfect way to finish your meal (or start it — we won’t judge!).

 

Y Pot Bach is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:30am to 2:30pm, serving up great food, friendly conversation, and a real sense of community.

Community Shop

But Y Pot Bach is much more than just a coffee shop. Every Tuesday, we open our doors for our Community Shop, offering low-cost household essentials to help local families stretch their budgets further. It’s a simple way of supporting each other through sharing, kindness, and community spirit.
